PCT 2008

The Feds website for the PCT is better than it ever has been.  The PCTA.ORG is still the best resource for thru-hikers.  But, if you're looking for general info, when to hike sections, etc. the Fed website isn't bad.  Check it out: CLICK HERE.

Before starting to map our hiking calendar we first needed to figure out where we’d be stopping to resupply and our hiking stats.  We calculated our hiking stats by timing ourselves on a simulation hike on Mary’s Peak with weighted packs (25lbs for mine and 35lbs for Will). 

Below is a list of our chosen 2008 resupply points (of course there are lots of options—these are the ones we narrowed it down to).  In addition below that there is a list of our hiking stats (of course they are really my stats since Will can hike much harder and longer than I…so far… ;-):
